Upon meeting my Latvian beauty, Marite, I knew I would love her. Her massive personality and stunning flame red hair made her impossible not to instantly warm to!

Marite asked me to do her hair and makeup, mothers make up and two flower girls hair for her wedding on Saturday 9th January 2016.

At her trial, which took place at her in-laws’ home in Christchurch, we discussed various options for her bridal style. It was clear early on she had a very individual bridal style. She had not one, but two Armani wedding dresses, designed and created specifically for her. Both in the most luxurious satin, one ivory and one deep red! She kindly tried one on for me and WOW! Such a stunning design, body form fitting, strapless with a soft sweetheart neckline. Zip backed but gathered on one hip with a gorgeous ruffled flower created with the same material.

We spoke about her general daily look, being a personal trainer she rarely wears make up and told me she prefers her hair up and off her face. We agreed that an entirely up hair style would be best to ensure she wasn’t irritated by it, but also to show off her gorgeous shoulder line!

She wanted to have an elegant but not too ‘rigid’ hair style, so I designed a pretty, chic, curled and twisted bun. As Marite’s red hair was the star of her hair look, she chose to have no hair accessories or veil. A decision I personally thought was best for her look, as I think anything extra may have been a little too much.

For make up, I designed a super fresh face with a very natural base using NARS All Day Luminous foundation. Marite’s stunning full face freckles are such a big part of her that it would have been a crime to cover them up! Marite was overjoyed by this as she wanted to feel like she wasn’t wearing anything at all. I was also overjoyed because I LOVE freckles!!

I created a soft contour just to emphasize her cheek bones and polished her base off with Dior Blush for an extra fresh finish. For her eyes I used a soft blend of a couple of Urban Decay base nude and bronze toned shadows, all smoked out into Bare Minerals ‘Moss’ along with blending this under her lower lash line. A soft, distorted line of Charlotte Tilbury eyeliner in brown, rather than black that would have been too harsh, and a couple of coats of mascara finished off her eyes.

For her eyebrows I used Anastasia Beverley Hills Dip Brow in ‘Blonde’ making sure to keep the product feathered and super natural, using only to fill in her natural brows rather than to create a stronger brow line.

Marite wanted to wear a bright lip colour that would tone with her hair and of course both her dresses! We went through a couple of deep reds but they seemed slightly too dark, so we settled on a base of Sleek’s Eau La La Liner in ‘Lingerie’ and topped this with Max Factor super shine gloss in ‘Polished Fusia’. The beautiful blend of pinky reds finished her look off perfectly!

My entire bridal design was soft, relaxed and showed off Marites’ natural beauty but gave her a polished and elegant look to go with her stunning gowns.

What better way to kick off a packed 2016 with bridal preparations at the gorgeous Kings Arms Hotel, Christchurch, with incredible photographer, Sam from New Forest Studio.

She opted for a similar but younger style for her oldest flower girl and a twin French braid into a small bun for her youngest flower girl. Mother of the Bride chose a very natural look, again she never wears make up, so I created a flawless base warmed with Benefits’ ‘Hoola’, a very soft golden hue smoked eye to open her eyes up a bit more and finished her look off with a plum lipstick of her own.

Marite and Richard wed at the gorgeous Highcliffe Castle then travelled onto the equally stunning Rhinefield House Hotel!

I wish them both the very best of luck and love in their next chapter!
